Registration in the Shop and FAQs

I have not received a registration email. What should I do?

  1. Step: Check the following:

  • Check your spam folder

  • Due to the single sign-on principle in our digital solutions, an email with the registration link is only sent if no access has been granted yet. If the user in question already uses the equipment portal, for example, they will not receive a registration link. However, they can still log in. Please send a brief message to your Carl Stahl contact person, indicating that the portal password also applies to the shop.

  • It may be that your organization's firewall is blocking the registration link, so that it does not even reach the user's mailbox. In this and other scenarios, please contact your Carl Stahl contact person. After consulting with you, we will send a new registration link and, if this does not work again, we will manually assign a password as a last option, which you can use to log in and then assign a new password.

The registration link no longer works. What should I do next?

The registration link expires after 30 days. If the user does not register within this period, a new registration link must be sent. In this case, please contact your Carl Stahl contact person.

I can no longer log in to the shop. What should I do?

Check your browser

  • No issues are known with common browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. However, the outdated Internet Explorer browser may cause problems. This may prevent you from logging in.

Use the reset password function.

  • This function is located directly below the login screen and should be used by the customer themselves if they have forgotten their password, for example. Please note: The new password will also apply to any existing portal access, app access, etc.

Last option:

  • Please contact your contact person so that we can check your access in the background. We will then send a registration link to the user or manually assign a password, which you can then change after logging in via your customer account.

Can the order in which I log in to Carl Stahl Digital Solutions (web shop, equipment portal, etc.) cause problems?

No, it does not matter whether a customer receives shop access or portal access first. The corresponding access can still be set up later using the usual methods.

What options are there for changing the password?

  1. Reset password (under the login screen)

  2. Change password (via the customer account)

  3. Manual password assignment in the background (via web shop support)

Passwords must not contain any special characters. Please choose a password that consists of at least 8 characters and includes upper and lower case letters.

How do I create a webshop account for an entire group of buyers?

Large customers sometimes request that there should only be one web shop account for them. All purchasers should place orders via this account. This can be implemented by creating a contact person in the customer master, e.g. with the name “Purchasing Team” and the corresponding mailbox email address. This allows all purchasers to log in with the same user data. One advantage of this is that the customer account is always complete, for example when placing orders. The disadvantage is that all emails are depersonalized. Please contact your contact person for more information.

I don't have a VAT ID number. How can I still register in the shop?

Municipalities and fire departments do not have a VAT ID number. These customers cannot register independently in the shop, as this field must be filled in on the registration form (applies to the US shop, among others). Please contact your contact person, who will simply carry out an existing customer extension for you in these cases. In this way, no VAT ID number is required from a technical point of view.
